Frequently asked questions:
What does 1 cube look like?
If you can imagine 1 cube is 1m wide, 1m long and 1m high.

How much firewood will I need for the winter season?
This depends on a wide variety of factors, including insulation, wetbacks, size of home, how often you use your fire etc.

-
If you live in a new house that is well insulated and like the fire partly for the ambiance you may get by on 3 cube.
-
For colder homes that need the fire in the evenings and throughout the night, generally consume in excess of 6 cube.
-
People who keep the fire running 24/7 throughout winter generally go through in excess of 10-12 cube. These homes may also have a wetback to heat the hot water.
Most often, people that purchase 2-3 cube at the beginning of winter will come back halfway through and order another 2-3 cube, if not twice! It works out cheapest to purchase a full truck load at once rather than in smaller lots.

So to sum it up, the average household we sell to would burn an average of 5-6 cube per season.

Remember, what does not get used can be stored for the following season, or used with the summer evening braziers!
This is based entirely from feedback from users between Whangarei and Kerikeri, Northland. (Northland, aka, 'winterless north'!)
