What We Do
It’s not our aim to supply the most firewood in the district, but supply the best firewood. Ran by Terry Howard, Roaring Hot Firewood has set out to supply the best quality firewood available, giving you more bang for your buck. (No pun intended!) To have the best quality firewood, I also strive to have the best service, supplying families and individuals with good quality, clean and dry wood.

Quality firewood:
Black Wattle
Available now for burning 2025
Wattle is a Hardwood of the Acacia Family from Australia. It has similar burning properties to eucalyptus (gum) species, and has a slightly lower wood density. It burns relatively slow but very hot. Some people refer to Wattle as the eco alternative to Tea Tree.
Our logs have been seasoned outside, is clean, dry and ready to burn this Winter.

Macrocarpa

Unavailable
Macrocarpa is a medium density wood, with a tendency to spark.
Not suitable for open fires.

Bluegum, another good Australian hardwood.

This also makes a very good firewood as the wood is very dense giving it prolonged burning time and high heat output.

Casuarina

Casuarina, also known as She-oak, is known around many parts of the world as a brilliant firewood.
It is a dense wood, known for burning long, slow, hot and also clean.
